Steven Unruh is a Divorce Mediator and Licensed Psychotherapist.  Divorce Mediation is an intelligent  alternative to divorce. It is a process that intentionally avoids the Court Room. Mediation is far less expensive that battling a divorce with opposing attorneys. It is often one tenth the cost of the traditional process of suing each other in court. It is also more expeditious.  Mediating your divorce can often be accomplished in 6 to 9 months.  Unlike a litigious divorce, which is more adversarial,  due to millions in budget cuts, will be in the court system for over 3 years.  Mediation is confidential.  What is discussed in the mediation process cannot be used against  you in Court. You are in control of the outcome , verses having a Judge, opposing counsel and  court appointed child custody evaluators making all the decisions about your future and the future of your children.         One key goal of Mediation , is to help people move on with their lives, to move more quickly  into the healing process.  Decisions are discussed and negotiated with an expert and professional.  You can always keep your attorney, if you feel the need to evaluate the decisions you are making in mediation.
